ClimateCare will be pleased to hear from you if you wish to up-scale or start a new project. We have 10 years of experience in building projects on the strength of carbon finance and our project staff have together accumulated more than 40 years of experience in establishing large-scale and economically sound programmes in the developing world.
We partner with commercial project operators and development organisations in several ways:
- by developing the carbon asset with you; this involves the analysis of potential carbon reductions, development of the necessary documentation, organisation of a third party evaluation and verification, and registration with the relevant authorities;
- by directly purchasing the emission reductions from the project on competitive terms, thereby providing your project with a potentially significant source of revenue.
Please note that we do not fund projects in the UK or Europe and we are not looking for further reforestation projects at this time.
If you have a project you think we may be interested in funding, please send a brief description of it in an email to projects@climatecare.org. Alternatively you can download and complete our Project Information Form (by clicking the link), and email it to the address above.
Carbon Purchase
We purchase emission reductions directly from project developers, and are interested in both voluntary and compliance market credits. We look to purchase credits with the following criteria:
- High quality emission reductions.
- Volumes of 10,000 tonnes CO2 per annum or greater.
- Recent vintages, looking forwards.
If you are interested in selling carbon credits, please email projects@climatecare.org
Guidance documents on general release
In the course of our work we sometimes generate guidance documents for public release. For example we can help parties wishing to develop biogas and improved cook-stove projects. Our methodology document available on the Gold Standard website is an example:
Gold Standard Methodology for Improved Cook-Stoves and Kitchen Regimes developed by ClimateCare
We will be pleased to offer practical advice and tools for the application of this methodology while developing the carbon asset. Please write to adam.harvey@jpmorganclimatecare.com
The methodology provides a comprehensive method of carbon-financing different types of cook-stove projects involving fossil fuels, biogas, crop residue briquettes, solar cookers, non-renewable biomass and more. It enables project developers to launch large-scale programmes on the basis of detailed guidance for baseline and monitoring activities, and acts as a guideline for projects using the CDM small-scale methodology.
